After accepting a football scholarship from Duke University, Coach Fowler made an immediate impact, starting with:
*87 tackles as a true freshman (led the team)
*Completed his Duke career with 495 tackles
*47.5 tackles for loss
*And 12.5 sacks.
Coach Fowler became only the second player in Duke history to lead the team in tackles for three straight years.
His success continued in the NFL where he:
*Helped anchor the #1 defense with the New York Jets
*Served as a two-year starter for the Tennessee Titans, even overcoming severe injuries to reclaim his position.
*He also led the Dallas Cowboys in special teams tackles in 2005.
